Praying in union with the delegates preparing to leave for Amiens
I settle down and take the time to breathe calmly to make myself available to You, Lord.
Lord, you are here, you who give me breath for this day.
In union with my CLC companions from all over the world, I come to ask You, Lord, for the grace to listen to your Word with all the companions who are going to take part in the World Assembly. Should I go to Amiens myself, give me the grace to prepare myself for this Assembly, for this journey to which you are calling me.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord said to Abram: “Leave your land, your family and your father’s household for the land that I will show you”.
- At first, I contemplate Abram leaving his country, preparing to go to a land he does not know.
- I can then imagine companions from all over the world also preparing, leaving their families, their communities, their happy or more difficult realities.

I will make of you a great nation and will bless you. I will make your name respected, and you will be a blessing.
- In the news, I hear the world: the noise of wars and the appeals of suffering populations, but also initiatives and actions for peace and communion. You call me, Lord, to seek new ways and to hear you promise of blessings.
- What about me? What could I do during the days of the Assembly to be in communion with those who will take part on site? To bless these companions who will be listening to the Spirit to discern where You are waiting for our Community?
Just as a friend talks to a friend, I take the time to talk to the Lord. I make a request, a token gratitude, an intercession.
I end the prayer with an Our Father or the prayer of the World Assembly
